CH Cotija z Farmy DarTKN HIT Date of Birth: March 26th, 2023 (3 years old) (Hun. CH Popeye des Bergers de l’Oiseau Jaune NHAT x Jewel z Babanovho vrška) Bred by Daniela Malovcová of z Farmy Dar
Nacho is owned and loved by the Collazo family in Michigan. She enjoys her role as Perfect Princess for game nights, and Feral Mud Monster on the hiking trails. She enjoys playing with her Malinois brother, Taco, and trying to cuddle the pug, Pickle. She makes friends easily with her goofy smile she inherited from her sire, Popeye.
Our Journey and Goals
Nacho is a very versatile young dog, just as easily able to tackle the conformation ring as a scentwork puzzle. As a gangly teenager, she achieved her championship under the expert handling of the Burrell family. Then she strode into the 2024 Journee final ring to win Best Female in Journee! While she could be a competitive special as a mature adult, she is unlikely to spend much time in the conformation ring anymore, focusing instead on her performance and working goals.
She shows promise in obedience, herding, and scentwork, and we hope to explore those venues as she matures.
CH UCH Finesse in Fugue Valley of King’s CA BCAT TKN Date of Birth: April 6th, 2022 (4 years old) (Natchez de l’Ombre Rouge de Phrygie x N’Blue de l’Ombre Rouge de Phrygie) Bred by Mico Ilic of Valley of King’s Kennel
When your breeder tells you he has the perfect match for you after he’s already matched you beautifully before, you listen. When Mico told us that this little man was going to be everything we dreamed of, even with already having Reaver in the program, we listened. The Salleys fell in love with him the moment they picked him up, but he was quickly snatched up by Morgan – one of the newer members of our collaboration. He spends time with both families between Texas and Ohio.
After a short evaluation period, he really embodies everything we love about Reaver, Natchez, and N’Blue. He shows beautiful conformation potential as well as a calm, steady engagement that promises a wonderful sport career as well.
Our Goals
The sky’s the limit with Terror. Currently, his focus is in exploring the world of dog sports with his owner, Morgan. They have dabbled in rally, obedience, disc, coursing, barn hunt, and conformation. He has shown off his happy demeanor and willingness to please in every venue.
As a young pup, he finished his UKC Championship including group placements, as well as snagging his first AKC Major. We expect him to continue to shine in the conformation ring as he matures, just as his brother, Reaver, has.
As he grows, we will focus on him enjoying being a puppy and laying strong, versatile foundations for him to blossom into an incredible dog.
CH Vit Mirren Zealous Tempo BN RI HT CGC TKA Date of Birth: August 6th, 2021 (4 years old) (Vit Mirren Guff x Vit Mirren Barselona) Bred By Алена Горбунова of Vit Mirren\
While looking at potential puppies to add to our program, there were several dogs that continually caught our eyes while looking for a blended show and sport line. We were hunting beautiful movement, handler engagement, and drive. As always, we’re aiming for those truly versatile puppies who could take on the world. When a breeding was announced that combined many of those dogs including Shah (Multi CH Momento Mistika Pinkerton Argente BH IGP-3, Seven’s sire), we immediately began to research travel.
After much difficulty and many tears, our perfect puppies arrived!
Sully joined the Salley family – charming everyone he meets. From his air snaps and head tilts to digging and demand barking, he’s a ball of energy and personality. Within months of entering the US, he took on a large Meet the Breeds event with a wagging tail and happy engagement – showing us that we had found another puppy ready to take on the world with us.
Our Goals
While still young, Sully has shown incredible promise in an odd combination of sports – obedience, rally, and herding. His focus is second to none – quickly building up duration in training as the foundations are laid. In a few short months of training, he breezed through his Rally Novice title with a wonderful eye contact-focused heel and a zest for showing off.
He finished his championship as a mature dog with relative ease and also had a positive evaluation at the NS (Morphology: EXC+, Temperament: TB). He was a slow burn coming into his own, but he matured into a solid, balanced adult with forever puppy eyes.
For now… We’re continuing to watch him grow and considering if he will hold a place in our program or shine as the couch potato at the Salley homestead. Enjoy a snippet of watching him grow in pictures.

While Sully landed in Texas, Shazi journeyed to join the Ohio family. However, she continued to charm everyone she met. Through a series of wonderful events, she’s landed back with the Salley family – recently relocated to Georgia. She spends time in Ohio with the Stephens family and Texas with the Crivello family.
Our Goals
Shazi has been a bit of a late bloomer, spending most of her puppyhood learning about the world around her. As she’s grown, her drive has blossomed. She’ll chase a toy for hours, adores the flirt pole, and happily jumps into the water for a bumper. Anything that involves moving and her people, and she’s up for the adventure!
We are looking forward to channeling that energy into dog sports, focusing on obedience and rally, though her love for water will be explored through dock diving. With her handler engagement and love for patterns, we expect to see her thrive in the upcoming year. Unfortunately, due to a bone spur on her shoulder, we do not expect her to spend much time in the conformation ring, despite her beautiful movement.
Conformation Evaluation
The first thing that anyone mentions when seeing Shazi at her best is her movement. She truly is a dog who floats with a balanced topline from nose to tail without an ounce of effort in each and every step, and her trotting speed and efficiency can put some of our other dogs to shame when she really lets go.
Her front assembly is something we hope to see passed onto her offspring, with lovely layback and balanced length of upper arm. She’s had an impressive forechest and width of chest that made us jump up and down since she was a baby puppy, none of us could believe our eyes when seeing her puppy stacks from her breeder.
She has a coat that lays quite flat to the body, but is thick, lush, and oh so satisfying to sink your hands into. The texture is appropriately water and weather proof, and complimentary to the breed purpose as a tending dog.
She has matured into a dog with balanced substance to compliment her athleticism, though we had a heck of a baby deer stage for multiple years. She is a prime example of a “Let them grow” dog, and while her slow maturity has been a test of patience, it has all paid off in the end.
The faults we see in Shazi are the same we have expected since she was a young dog. Her expression, and in particular her rounded eyes, are her biggest weakness for a beauceron. She has quite the baby face and teddy bear-like expression, as well as a more narrow head for the substance she has matured into.
She is also a long dog when evaluated to the standard proportionally, with a high tuck up that we hope to see improve after her litter, as some girls do, so that we have a better idea of what to expect of her offspring.
Temperament Evaluation
Shazi is a massive goofball. She brings joy into every interaction with her people – turning circles and demanding attention. She’s a dog that’s always on the go and you better keep up! When she wants something, she’ll sit in front of you with the biggest begging eyes you’ve ever seen! When she doesn’t want to do something, you get the exact same look… She’s more pressure avoidant than we would like in a beauceron, but believe that to be primarily experience-based.
Her drive to please is endless. When working Shazi, the trick is to break things into bite size chunks because, as soon as she can understand them, you can chain behaviors together quickly. She will perform the same trick a dozen times in a row if it will make you happy, but does struggle with focus to build longer trick routines without fully learning the individual pieces.
Where she really shines it out on stock. Life in the Salley family has been constantly on the go the past couple of years, or should would have been out herding C course regularly. With as much as she loves running and spinning in circles – running circles around stock is her absolute favorite combination of activities. She has been shown to be gentle and mindful of stock large and small when exposed, but opportunities to get her out in the world have been limited. The pressure avoidance we may see in other venues is never present if there’s a sheep nearby, and we love to see signs that the instinct and love of working her stock is still there.

Sylas joins Melissa in Cincinnati, Ohio – close enough to enjoy play dates and visits with his co-owner Erika and the Beauceron friends in her household. I am extremely excited to have my lifetime sidekick and friend in my home. I hope to involve him in every aspect of my day and life that I can, letting him get the most out of the world and our lives together. We have many goals, and as my first well-bred dog, I am so excited to embark on this journey with such a lovely puppy. I cannot thank his breeder, Kamil, enough for the care he took raising this litter, and for trusting us to bring him all the way to the U.S. to be part of Des Vents.
Goals
For the moment, much like all prospects, Sylas is a growing puppy whose focus will be on seeing and learning about the world. With Melissa’s careful guidance, we hope to see him thrive in his home, enjoying a lifetime of new experiences, exploring, and growing into the well rounded, social, stable male we hope he will be.
He’ll be learning the foundations for a future in obedience and conformation, and giving him a start to encourage playing in many different sports. With so many options locally to try their hand at (herding, dock diving, coursing, agility), as well as becoming the best hiking and travel buddy of Melissa he can be, boredom will never be on the table. We will find what he loves to focus on for his future.
Overall, we hope to see him thrive and excell in his home as well as becoming a strong example of the versatility the Beauceron breed can hold.
We are thrilled to have Sylas join our group of hopeful foundation prospects, his dam’s litter is one some of us have followed since they were born, and one of us even considered importing her sibling at one point if it had been better timing. Prado’s strong type and accomplishments, as well as his own stellar pedigree compliment our goals well and we are so excited to watch our little guy mature into a stunning combination of his parents.
Now that he’s here, we’re excited to watch him grow together! Enjoy some pictures of the cutest puppy!

Sukuna is from the same pairing as Reaver and Terror, sired by Natchez. When we all discovered we had relatives, we began to share our experiences which turned into this beautiful collaboration. She is the mother of our A Litter with Soleil et Lune. We were delighted to have her contribute to the breed and love to hear her stories moving forward as a working service dog and beloved sport partner for Rebekah.
Conformation
Sukuna is a well balanced dog with an athletic build to match her tireless energy. Her finely chiseled head and string topline help to make her both striking to look at, and a sound mover. We’d like for her upper arm to be longer, and for her to have a bit more angulation overall. And while her frame is balanced, more bone and substance would also be ideal.
Temperament
Sukuna is often described as pushy and head strong, but is also the sweetest cuddly dog with her people and most strangers alike. She enjoys engaging with her people and enjoys knowing exactly what you want her to do next. She is biddable and if you know her, wouldn’t be seen without a toy in her mouth, forcing you to play fetch.
She is quite pushy with other dogs, but enjoys the company of submissive females or most male dogs. She has integrated into many packs with adult dogs she was unfamiliar with, but she does create space for herself as needed.
She is truly a confident headstrong dog and takes new environments and situations in stride, and with her temperament has excelled as a working service dog for her person.

Looking Forward to the Future
Seven joined des Vents from Latvia in August of 2021. She will begin her sport career with our friend Yana in Michigan. From the moment Seven was born, she was the first to the milk bar, the first to walk, the first to explore. Given the accomplishments of her parents, we’re excited to see that drive and instinct channeled in her as well. We are so grateful to Baiba for selecting her for us, and lucky to welcome little Seven not only into our program, but into our hearts and home.
As she has grown, we have learned so much about her confident temperament and desire to be with her family. She spends her days on the farm or at the grooming salon with her owner – always enjoying the small adventures in life. While she is no longer a breeding prospect, she holds a special place in our program as our wild child. Enjoy some pictures of her growing up!

When inquiring after the pairing, we were impressed with the herding ability of Nikita and her lines. We knew that pairing that with the drive and workability of Goldorak was going to produce a puppy that would be a fantastic herding partner with stellar conformation. Both dogs are active companions and beloved pets which is exactly what we look forward in Des Vents puppies.
Sovereign aka Nuggy joined the Salley family in Augusta, GA, co owned with Erika Stephens.
Our Journey
Nuggy has grown up wonderfully! Though AKC conformation shows are boring for this busy goof ball, he finished his championship with 4 majors while catching the eye of many breed enthusiasts. He impressed the judges at the 2024 National Specialty and Journee, picking up another major and finding himself in the ribbons consistently.
As we have gotten to know him, we have loved his strong attitude. He is a demanding dog with opinions for the world. He is confident in every new interaction and curious about everything. He consistently offers behaviors (both desirable and undesirable) to try and get his way. He’s a dog that demonstrates just how much personality a beauceron can have.
On stock, he’s kind, but energetic. He requires, and tolerates, minimal micromanagement. He thrives when he understands the goal of the exercise where both parties act as partners to achieve it. His natural talent allowed him and his handler, Robyn, to achieve his Herding Tested title on light sheep after months off from training together.
The sky is the limit with the brain on this boy and we cannot wait to see where he goes.

Looking Forward to the Future
Where to begin on our excitement for this little lady…
Séance traveled all the way from Germany to join Erika in Ohio as of April, 2021.
I am forever thankful to Constantin and Yvonne for entrusting me with this lovely puppy. She is everything I could have wanted, and a fantastic first prospect for our kennel dreams. While I can take no credit for the careful planning of her breeders, her pedigree is full of potential and dogs I adore. Constantin and Yvonne gave her the best start in life I could ask for, and so many updates as the little ones grew! I hope to make them proud with our accomplishments as a team, and show them my love for her here in my home.
Our Goals
For the moment, Séance is just a growing pup and we’re doing a lot of foundation work for our goals. If she is anything like her parents the world will be ours for the taking. We’ve seen it proven time and again how her parents have such a joy to work, confidence of character, and the drive to give anything a go. Her Sire Homme is a Search and Rescue dog with an accomplished show career, her Dam Lilo is a proven herding dog who has shown similar aptitudes for search work, with a strong showing career behind her as well.
We hope to shape that drive in many ways, with Herding, Obedience/Rally, and Scent work at the forefront. Dock diving, bikejoring, and more will also be thrown in there if she shows she enjoys them.
A sweet and thoughtful puppy full of potential, but above all she is joining us as a member of the family. We hope she will not be quite the devil of a puppy her mother was! Though we did ask for one who was ready to take on the world.
As we’ve gotten to know her, she has shown to be a sweet, social, and kind puppy. She is bold and open to all, has never met a stranger, and always has energy for more games and more learning on any given day. While not vocally demanding, she is persistent in her wants, and gives clear signals with intention for everything she wants to see, do, or have. She is incredibly observant and calculating, and will sit and watch something for a moment and dive into it with full confidence. I am so thrilled to watch her learn and offer new behaviors, and love watching her mind work through a problem.
Seance’s Three Year Update
Time flies when you’re having fun right? It’s hard to believe I’ve had nearly three years with my little beauceron with a big attitude.
To sum up her personality now she is a serious girl with a feral child side in there too. You know you have been accepted as one of her close friends when your greets switch from a bump and enthusiasm to a full contact sport tackle. She is just as likely to clown it up and do her best to make her people laugh as she is to focus on her livestock despite anything going on around her and think through problems.
She has grown into the well rounded dog I hoped she would, moving seamlessly from home, to the city, to the farm. She loves to show off and make sure Robyn and I to crack a smile in the Obedience and Rally ring, hang out at the cafe, or remind me just how much of a powerhouse she is when we bikejor.
Her show career in AKC has had it’s ups and downs as she isn’t the biggest fan of the show ring and would much rather be up to something fun. She has placed Best of Breed though for her first major and points in AKC from the classes, and every once in a while remembers how much I love it and gives me her all.
At the 2024 American Beauceron Club Nationals Seance tagged along with one goal in mind – entering the herding trial for our first title. Aiming straight for our PT test, even if it was on the notoriously difficult stock at Purina Farms.
It was not our prettiest run, or our best look, I am the first to admit. I was flustered as a handler by the sheep, and promptly forgot so much of what I was doing. But in the end, by the skin of our teeth, we did it. Earning the highest title awarded at the National Specialty, as well as the Nationals Versatility award for Herding.
I will be forever proud of our journey together, though it has it’s ups and downs. The newest adventure as of Winter 2024 for Seance has been bringing our very first litter, the 2024 Video Games into the world.
Next year we hope to continue our herding journey, and keep moving forward. Please enjoy a video of our practice PT run shortly before Nationals on our home turf with our friends at Hado-Bar Farms in Ohio.
For now I leave you with the same message as when she was a puppy… We have so much learning, bonding, and exploring to do. So many adventures to take, and so many places to see. We hope you will follow us on the journey! Enjoy a snippet of watching her grow in pictures, just as I did.

Reaver is owned and loved by Serena Swann, and Robyn & Leslie Salley. He is primarily based in West Virginia, but regularly travels between his adoring owners. We are incredibly grateful to Mico for entrusting this promising prospect with us. His pedigree shows a lot of promise and versatility. He’s shaping up to be a high energy dog that is displaying great drive and focus as he matures. He is much more likely to whine at you to do something than be comfortable lazing on the couch.
Our Goals
Currently, he’s actively training in conformation, obedience, and rally. We have tested him on goats and, while he shows promise, it will not be our focus with him. He will always need a job so we expect him to dabble in a variety of venues to keep his mind busy!
We are excited for his career in conformation given the breed type we currently see and the fluid movement he’s shown through many awkward periods of growth. Judges are already recognizing his quality, despite his young age. With limited showing, he quickly won both of his majors through AKC and his competitions wins through UKC all with a variety of compliments from both competitors and judges. After a long break from the ring, he returned to pick up two more 5 point majors, including a prestigious Winners Dog at the 2023 ABC National Specialty, finishing his AKC Championship (pending AKC confirmation). He finished out his Grand Championship with ease.
Obedience and Rally have been his area to shine as we lay the foundation for a balanced dog and an excellent sport prospect. He began showing in January of 2022 and, in two back to back weekends, finished his RN and CD with all placements in competitive classes. His enthusiastic biddability, ability to chain behaviors, and precision in his body awareness set him up to be a fantastic obedience dog. He is currently training for his CDX while picking up triple Qs for his RACH!
